The holiday classes for young sewers have proved very popular and this is just one of the lovely items the girls

Making Christmas Lanterns

This week I had a lovely group come and make hanging lanterns out of Christmas Fabric. They are all friends and did a great job of making them. I believe they are planning to make more.

We used the Melly and Me pattern

Ruffles n More

I've made another 'Sew Serendipity' skirt.
Can't help myself now that I've found a really good pattern.

I found this fabric at 'Peppermint Stitches' in Brisbane.

Tiffany and I have been playing with the ruffler in the Sewing Lounge. She is really brave with colour and put a black ruffle on a large lime green & fushia floral.

Here is a photo of the ruffler in action.......

Sewing the ruffle on to the cushion front........

Finished cushion.................

For more of Tiffany's wonderful interior decorating ideas visit her blog  http://lifestyletreats.blogspot.com

So what else has been going on..........

This is another ruffled cushion made in class using a moda jellyroll & the free pattern at modabakeshop.com

This cushion turned out so well that R is coming back to make more next week!

I have just released a new pattern called
'Textured Quilt & Cushion'
